It was a long first day, but really informative and useful.
Did I mention it was a long first day???
Tip: You won't need your laptop the first day - really. Pay attention to what classes you have and only bring those books you need. If you're in the Arbutus building - pack light... :) it's a pretty steep incline and in the hot sun, you'll be sweating by the time you get there. There is a coffee, snack shop in the building and the coffee is good.
Tip 2: Clothing - first day - whatever goes. Some people in dress pants, some people in shorts, most in jeans... whatever. When you have to do your presentations, dress it up a bit
Okay, so we started in the Quarterdeck with coffee and meeting the faculty and instructors. Received some FYI stuff and put names to faces. Played a fun meet and greet game and settled back for some Team information (where we were put into our first of 4 teams throughout the 2 years). Started a Coaching workshop and then broke for lunch.
Got my student card :D
I'm such a geek - but it's a half-decent picture
Lunch and then off to Arbutus building for Cases and then Communications. Was a very long afternoon, but definitely enjoyable. Pedro and Bronwyn led us through the 2 sessions and we wrapped up before 6 pm :)
Quite a bit of "homework" tonight, so think I'll just tuck in and get it done and get to bed early, but can easily be led astray so we shall see.
That's it for now.... (can you tell I'm tired??)
